it seems strange that the surf has no oil light. it seems to have a warning light or buzzer for everything else. has anyone fitted an oil light to a 3l desiel?

lol, you have a gauge!
Lights and buzzers are pretty pointless, once the light is on, you've been no oil, and the damage is probably done. Better with a gauge so you can moniter oil pressure long term.
UK diesel 4Runners have a oil level warning light, i guess Toyota trusts its domestic market more than us Brits, we need extra alarms...

i know i have a gauge but i spend too much time looking at it and thinking the presure has dropped a tiny amount. when i have had cars with just a light i never worried about it . more gauges = more things to worry about. how accurate are the gauges anyway ?Comment
