    Hi all, just wondering what are the chances of squashing an amazon 4.2 TD into a kzn185.if i move the rads etc? but will it match to a surf manual gearbox?

    I think you will find that the 4.2 is a wee bit to long to fit

        Can you put a rover V8 in there mated up to the Surf box?
        My dad put one in a Saab 99 on the Saab gearbox years back so it must be possible was on carbs mind.

                    Thanks for the info guys,BigBobE dont know what lexurf means!!
                    Anyway i have access to a 4.2TD and if it will mate to my surf gearbox and the gearbox is up to the job i hope to fit it into my surf,
                    All i really need to know is if the engine and gearbox is compatable
