Btw......a surf registered in 95 could be a 2nd or 3rd gen right? I thought the 3rd gens began production in dec 95.

Well I had a 95 and it was defo a 2nd gen

We have however seen some 2.5 gens on here in the past

But i think i read somewhere on this forum that they officially started rolling out the 3rd gens in Dec 1995 but to avoid confusion they just say 96. I dunno?

Officially they were introduced for the 1996 model year, but production and sales started early (which is quite normal in the US, the vehicle's primary market as a 4Runner). Mine was built in December 1995.
