Spray Paint

Been working on one of my our hobbies this Christmas. Thought I'd try a new paint supplier.
Turns out however that my idea of matt paint and theirs does not appear to be the same.
Question is . . . Am I being a Muppet in some way, or have have they sent me a Gloss instead of a Matt.

The photo shows how we wanted it to look on the left and the new paint on the right. Both paints are BS 298 Olive Drab.

BTW, it's a limber for a 25 Pound Gun.

How old is the paint on the left? They both look matt.

The paint on the left is about a year old, but was only applied today. maybe the photo doesn't show it too well, the paint on the right is really quite shiny - gloss like shiny!

Maybe the cold is affecting the drying/finish?

It's a well heated shed, temp is about 50 - 60 in old money.

The bottom right hand corner does look shiny to me.

I thought the right looked closer to what I recall BS298 to be, but wasn't sure so didn't say.
