    and once again duly revised

So far we have the following for 2nd Gen (providing we all agree to halo and no problem with here) :-

    #1 - Udtrev
    #2 - Mick B
    #3 - B3AVW
    #4 - AndyL
    #5 - Koi (4runner)
    #6 - Firefly
    #7 - Mithujee
    #8 - Driver
    #9 - Ohsupremebeing

and for the 3rd Gen :-

    #1 - Slydog
    #2 - Robd
    #3 - Ace Piker
    #4 - Cockney Surfer

To get either these gauges for either option from StreetRacerParts we need at least 10 and we need to get a junk instrument panel to them for a pattern - come on folks, if you want the white gauges help me out here.

The exact cost will be $88.99 ($69.99 + $19 shipping) - obviously we cannot give an exact figure in Pounds Sterling or Euros until the order is placed and the exchange rate is fixed - a rough guide is $1.8 - £1

Could always order them anyway and put the spare ones in the forum shop.... obviously involves someones money as capital though... just an idea.

                  Hi,
Although I tried to cancel my original order (mainly because the rev counter is designed for a petrol engine and is calibrated higher) it had already been processed !! and I received the package on Wednesday 23th June - it was posted on Friday 18th June 5 DAYS not bad from west coast USA. (there was a delay from the original order date because they had to restock with a bronze dash bezel that I had also ordered) The parts were very well packaged.

The quality of all the parts is very high the only exception being the size of the oil / fuel / volt & temp display panels/gauges was slightly too small to fit into the guides where the original gauges fit and although I have fitted them ( using a little super glue) it would have helped if they were approx 2mm wider !

The Gauges are all separate parts wired into a small rotary switch to control brightness and color blue / green.

I have had to modify the rev counter Gauge mainly because there are no holes to show the Turbo light & Engine check light if you look at the photo's you should be able to see this and also calibration is wrong but hey the World still turns and I can live with this. Also I added the T & C letters on the display to show Turbo & Engine Check & the KM on the Speedo to indicate Kilometers on the mileage display.

Fitting is a little fiddlely/ awkward and took approx 4/5 hours but I have taken the dash apart a couple of times and know where all the locating screws are hidden !!!

Overall I am very pleased with the new Gauges and my Speedo now reads correctly as I removed the pointer and reset it using a SAT-NAV Speed detector.

As I now have a set of Gauges I do not need to order another set but I can help the Group as I have now removed the old Gauges and if Trev wants to go ahead and place an order I can let him have these as a pattern.(Trev if you can send me a PM and let me know)

I have included some pics of the Gauges in the light and unlit- white. In my next post I will show some pics of them Lit- Blue in the dark.

If anybody has any further questions about these Gauges please let me know and I will try and help.

                  Andy.

                    Hi
Here are some picks of the Control rotary switch that switches between blue & green and the variable brightness of the Gauges I have fitted it just to the right of the handbrake lever but it could be fitted on the other side of the steering column also picks of the Gauges when lit Blue.

The Speedo dose show KMH on the inside of the MPH reading although a little difficult to see in the pics due to the picks being a little out of focus Sorry !

CAUTION!!! If anybody decides to do the same conversion please take care . With anything involving ELECTRICS all WIRING MUST BE CORRECTLY DONE although there are only 2 wires to connect to the Vehicle with this kit it would be easy to trap them behind the Gauge panel when replacing it and there is a warning supplied with the kit warning of possible fire risk if not correctly fitted !!!

                    Any questions please ask.

                    Andy.

I haven't forgotten these, just that they are on a hdd which is not currently in a machine, have to get around to plugging it in and finding them, hopefully I'll get to them soon.

                        Andy.

A quick question. How did the fact that the guages are 110mph instead of 100mph like on mine affect the speedo accuracy.

                        Cheers
