      Yep, that's the problem !

Now I could live with the odd variance in the speedo - if I am doing slightly under the indicated speed then the boys in blue will not be interested !

But it does help to know when I am near the red line.

I did wonder about the speedo/revs thing when i looked at the web site, have you specified diesel on your order??????
Aside from that they do look great, i have seen them fitted on a few motorbikes and at night they look the mutts nuts!!!
If it aint broke...........give it some more abuse!!!!!!!!

I have emailed an Ebay trader asking if they do a diesel version and told him that he could have a good market over here - awaiting response

S*** Never mind I'll wire them up to a 12v mains adaptor and keep them next to the bed to remind me how I helped the U.S. economy and helped keep the cost of FUEL down for them !!!!!!!!!!
            I'd Rather Have A 4" Lift Than A 4" Extension !!!

Aww darn! You could always put these either side of the bed too, as they wont fit either. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...480807330&rd=1
And how about a lift on the bedsprings while your'e at it!!

                Guys,

There is a company in the States called StreetRacerParts.com who make these gauges, they have a "buy in" program, where they will do develop a set of these gauges if they get 10 or more confirmed orders.

They have 3 different sets in that program right now and the prices are @$60 - if they are prepared to develop a set for us (it shouldn't be too difficult for them, they do the 4runner and now have a photo, the same as below, to show the differences), surely we can raise the 10 people necessary to get this project up and running.

I will keep you informed of progress.

I am back with GOOD news - I have received this from StreetRacerParts -

"Sorry, as we do not currently make gauges for this vehicle. If you can get together 10 people for standard 2-color (you can switch between blue and green) to pay $59.99 or 10 people for reverse or halo (only numbers and logos glow) to pay $69.99, we will put it in our model development program. After the 10 people are met we will make the gauge. It is best if you promote this through web forums, as this usually does very well for a new vehicle. You will also be in charge of getting a gauge cluster for the vehicle, we will need the whole cluster to do the art and to figure out the best placement for the wires that come out of each face. It is best to send a junk cluster out of a wrecked vehicle as we can not guarantee that the calibration will be the same as we would have to remove the needle to do the art. The indiglo gauges will slip over the stock faces and will not require the removal of the needles on all other installs.

                  Thank you,
                  Customer Service"

So now can we get at least 10 surfs needing fancy glow guages, and can we get a junk instrument cluster (is this a call for help from Streetluge Chris or Hilux Bob ?)

I will be #1 in he list of 10 - who will fill the other 9 ?

                  Trev

As a footnote we also have a dealer on Ebay here in the UK seeing what he can do.

                                The score so far

Right folks, so far we have the following for 2nd Gen :-

                                #1 - Udtrev
                                #2 - Mick B
                                #3 - B3AVW

and for the 3rd Gen :-

                                #1 - Slydog
                                #2 - Robd

To get either these gauges for either option from StreetRacerParts we need at least 10 and we need to get a junk instrument panel to them for a pattern - come on folks, if you want the white gauges help me out here.
