  • 3rd Gen tyre Dilema?

Was told you can fit 265 75 16's( 31.6") on a standard truck, but may rub while off roading.

My truck seems to be lifted 2" at rear and about 1.5" at front compared to standard trucks,so would i be able to go upto 285 75 16(32.8") with this lift?

No off roading planned but might throw on a body lift at some point in the future.

    Cheers.

I have 32" tyres on my 3rd gen with a 2.5 inch lift & they dont rub at all. BUT just about.
I would say 32.8" would rub if you went off road with your lift. I think you said before that your 3rd gen was for the road only so you'd probably be ok?
You could always get a cheap body-lift it they did rub.

Wouldn't expect it to be a problem.. It's a tiny increase in size..

Might need the odd spot of trimming here an there but it'll be worth it!

Just checked (I braved the cold and the snow to walk ALL the way across the frozen wastes that is the drive in my dressing gown)

Mine are 265/75/R16's so these will fit with a 2" lift at least.

            BF Goodrich btw.

rubbed badly when the truck was standard EVEN in normal driving under braking!

              afternoon all

on my standard height 3rd gen (although it's got 20% stiffer milner springs all round), I'm running greenaway machos' 267/75 R16's with no rubbing and no trimming needed.

nice & interesting in the snow at the minute - another reason to smile

              merry xmas
