  • Piston for 3.0 needed

My mate's Landcruiser is in need of a piston, some water or something must have gone down the injector and knackered it. Anyone have a decent secondhand piston for sale? Or where is the best place to look for a new one + gaskets etc?

Thanks, I'll ask him, but the shipping will probably kill that idea.

The Landcruiser is a 2003 model with a later 3.0 diesel.
Does anyone know Stevo's email address?
I need a set of pistons now.

I'm getting worried now. Every time you post on this thread you need something extra! Will be a full head before long!

I had a little look around, not sure if you are interested in this, but found company selling pistons etc. I think the engine you have in the landcruiser may be the 1KZ-TE

If your doing the 4 pistons, would you be doing the bearings as well?

Thanks, yes he keeps changing his mind, first just do the mashed piston, then all four, then all 4 + bearings etc.
Them Chinese trade sites usually require a biggish order, not just 4 pistons.

I'm guessing they don't do pattern parts for 2003 models then? I can get you Ford pistons, no trouble.
                    Have you tried Toyota directly?

Was just browsing Milners and noticed they do piston / ring sets. Worth a call...
