I hadn't washed mine before the rad got a hole in it

But I soldered it up and 5000 miles later it's still OK.

      (And I've washed it)

I once said to a friend of mine "what kind of bloke buys a Jeep" as we looked at the jeep in the staff carpark.
"The kind of bloke who probably has an onyx coffee table" came the reply.
              Draw your own conclusions.

V nice truck you bought yourself though. V Clean. Any plans to get it dirty any time soon?

Hi, welcome to the forum mate!

Pity, you had trouble so soon with the radiator but best to cure it now as overheating can lead to expensive head problems.

Just another thing to look out for sometime in the future, your Surf is suffering from a common sympton known as SAS (saggy arse syndrome). You may need to replace the rear springs to cure that and make the truck sit level. Best place for rear springs is Milners, their 20% stronger springs are very good. I fitted them to my Surf about 2 years ago.
