Rear window Demister

Had my rear window motor assembly replaced last week. Rear window was all steamed up , put heater switch on , but didn't 'demist'. Do you think something was not connected ? The dash light works, but no heated rear window.

I'll bet that the 2 wires have not been reconnected!

Take off the "carpet panel" justs pops off!

Unscrew the screws (about 8 or so I think!) and remove the black metal plate.

"Carefully" peel the plastic back exposing the left side as you are looking at it.

You should see 2 wires attached, if not reconnect them!

If they are connected (bet they won't be!) then it's probably a problem further down.

Let us know and we'll take it from there!

or the terminals are rusty and need a good cleaning and re-connect

I had this problem but after I cleaned them the window seemed slower at demisting, do you think replacing the wires to the relay might help as they were a wee bit decrepid and kept breaking etc?

If the wires are like you say Gary then yea replace them with something a bit better.It won't do any harm any way

got some doors, they were delivered direct to the garage. Hope they are ok....asked the garage to check them...still waiting for them to phone me back.

can you send me the 'sending unit for the fuel gauge prob and also the rear view mirror unit as it looks like the mirror and lights are a complete unit.....Let me know what i owe you...

I will get the bits from the tank one da this week for you and a rear view mirror.Not sure what day yet as i got to move trucks about and scrap a couple aswell
