Search online for Bio-diesel providers.....I'm still buying bio at 91p per litre...and therefore don't have to mix it with dino.

If you drive along any major road you will come to a place that has fuel pumps on the forecourt... park next to one, select the hose with the word “diesel” written on it and fill your tank, then go and pay.... simple, clean, quick and efficient.

No need to faff about with cooking oil

So if I had a 20l drum of ordinary cooking oil could I just pour it into the tank and it work just like diesel or do I have to mix it with diesel first? if I had a tank full would it just not go really thick in this cold weather?

if I had a tank full would it just not go really thick in this cold weather? Yes it would go really thick if all you had in there was Veg oil. At this time of year unless you have heater installed it would be best not to go more than around a 2:1/3:1 mix of diesel to veg IMO [/QUOTE]

                      Hope this helps

Cool ta, might be a useful one to know if I ever find a supply, is there a downside apart from the smell i.e loss of power/economy etc...and long term damage to engine?

                        ta,

I@ve run upto 80% veg through the summer and not seen any obvious downsides as of yet although some people do seem to get a leak from the fuel pump seals I believe

Have to admit that at a D40/V60 mix on a really cold morning the tickover was lumpy until the engine warmed up. Now doing a D60/V40 mix and it's running fine.
