roof rack

hi i was thinking of getting a roof rack for my 1990 2nd gen surf , will any gutterless rack fit ?

i think you need to fit roof bars first then fix something to that, there is loads of stuff on here about roof racks

I've got a pair of Thule ones that came with my surf, I took them off as I don't need them for anything.
Be happy to sell them cheap if they are the kind of thing you need.
