Hi Wiggy, we have the same problem here mate, my Escort has had enough of Greek roads, bent the suspension frame and bent the steering arm, was looking for a cheap replacement, local garage has a 1986 fiat panda with the head, 1000€ as is or 1600€ repaired. Think you can guess what i told them.

###### hell! i was looking at ones for about 2000 USD a while back and it would be 1400 USD to ship to Italy plus taxes insurance etc which is a bit too much for me to go for at the moment but a lot less than what you got quoted ....could try these http://www.tradecarview.com/pr/?uid=430012 or if that doesnt work try http://www.tradecarview.com as they have some pretty good deals sometimes.

Really dont know whay cars are so dear over here as they pay a fortune even for an old one then let them fall to bits! it is worth a look on ebay though even just for a laugh!!
