  • Thank god for spare wheels....

Numpty in a fedex van ran into the back of me this morning.
Only trolling in traffic but made a thwack.
Gets out expecting to see bent metal and broken plastic but none.
Well except his bonnet had a nice general grabber dent in it.
Wheel ok tailgate fine so bye bye fedex man thanks for that.
Wasn't even checking out totty he was watching another numpty
try to jam the lower high street whilst jump starting another car.

The spare wheel carriers arn't that strong I would have another good look to see if it has bent it downwards. My wife used to reverse her spare wheel up peoples bonnets until I fitted reversing sensors on her truck, I had to straighten that a couple of times.

my hubby was driving mine when a ford transit hit him when he was stationary at traffic lights...Doesnt look that damaged, but is an insurance` right off!!!... once all the insurance stuff is sorted out we will get it back on the road. (already getting the bits from stormforce )

            Nothing wrong at all.
            Window fine tailgate fine.
            Mud still there.
Was not that big a bump as i was rolling in traffic.
More of a noisey bump that made me fear the worst.

The dirt on the bumper is still intact so he only applied
force to the spare wheel and did not impact anywhere else.
            Didn't even touch the towbar.

Think it was more luck for one thing, and of course his bonnet was probly designed to crumple at the slitghest contact with anything remotely kiddies head height.

Best strap a childs head to the spare wheel then . Well if its designed for it better use it !

PS You can guess I have no kids and why .
