  • popped the cherry, first time ????

just noticed this 4th gen (new model) for sale on e-bay. havent seen one before inthe UK. would the normal model report have sufficed when SVA was done or would it sepecifically have related to this model in which case now that there is one available will we see lots more.
I would guess the tax is quiet expensive (£400 ish?)

On the upside if i have that sort of money ad the choice was anew mondeo/vectra/ etc or this surf i know which would return more fun for the spend

On the positive side, I do like the interior. Not that particular colour, but it looks very up to date

On the negative side, what is up with the mirror on the wing. It looks like a caravan towing mirror colour coded to the truck. Looks awful.

I just cant picture it with a 4" lift, the arches don't lend themselves to it.
Undoubtedly I will own one one day.
      Probably a 2006 in 2016

        A few years late...

oh look, a thread by me, in 2005......

        lol.

I could live with one, especially with fat tyres and a winch bumper.

Theres was a thread last year some time, with some pics of some yank lifted ones.

I like it very much and will most likely buy it this weekend. Thanks for posting the add for me.
I told the butcher I'd give him £25 if he got the meat down off the top shelf. He said he couldn't. The steaks were too high.

I agree, it will be removed by my body shop and sealed over.

And this is how it will look (with the wonders of photoshop)

It looks more like a lexus/hyundai/Musso on the front and Im not lovin it. It doesnt have half the character of earlier gens. Its a tall town car that will only look like 4x4 if you put a winch and lift and wheels on it first. Of course thats just my opinion .

Yes you are absolutely right, this one aint for everyone but I live in central London and love my 2nd gen Surf but as I'm right in the city I have no need to lift or attach anything to my car so this baby will suit me just right. I'm also a gadget fanatic so the toys inside make it more tempting. I like that fact it might be the only one in the UK too.

When I got my 93 surf I felt spoilt for gadgets as no car Ive owned had any so I can only guess what goodies youll get in a modern surf.
I may see you round in the future, Im moving down to Walthamstow, once weve tied up the looses ends up here, sometime in the new year hopefully.

I have just sent her in doors a email with the link to this surf.
She loves it. Looks like we will be looking for one as well.

Tisn't, lol, was next to a black one on the M3 acouple of weeks ago in traffic.

Was very nice, and quiet large in the flesh.
