Needed to get the aircon fixed in my daily driver as it hasn't worked since last September when the main dealer quoted a figure then just kept adding noughts!
An independant specialist in the make quoted "between £500 and £700".
As I need to sell the car to finance the Surf (arrives on Saturday!!!) I thought I'd better bite the bullet and get it sorted.
A company I've used in the past for radiators for my kit cars have just moved into servicing aircon so I popped over to see them.
A thorough pressure and vacuum test, service and re-gas was carried out and now there is a risk of frostbite from the aircon!
Cost? £60

Remove R12 gas, fit conversion kit and re-gas with R134A £100
Simple re-gas with R134A £50
