  • Tyre question

good evening all, i've been thinking about raising my truck in order to put bigger tyres on it eventualy, for all those that have fitted bigger tyres on your trucks does it alter the speedo reading, because obviously bigger tyres is going to alter the rolling radius of the wheels so do you have to fit a different speedo drive to keep the speedo reading correctly?
    cheers all.

yes your speedometer will be out
I havent seen a modification that allows you to recalibrate or correct it
I just used a sat nav to determine how far it was out and then remembered that.

Depends how much bigger the tyres are.
I went from standard size tyres to bigger 32 inchers & I didnt really notice any difference.

cheers all i thought it would alter the speedo as i've had to change drive gears in the past when changeing wheels so i'm looking at 32/11.5/15 mt's to go on, so the difference will be hardly noticable.
          cheers again

I have 32's on my truck and the speedo reads spot on to the sat nav.

That's a brillant little tool, saved that one for future referance.
