How to take off parking mirror?

Hello folks,
After couple of joyful years of driving a Nissan Patrol, I’ve become a happy owner of ’93 Surf. Car’s great (as you all know very well), but one thing bothers me – parking mirror. It’s fugly, useless and I want it off my baby! I’m not too technical person myself, could someone advise me how to get rid of it other than smashing it with a sledgehammer?

Hi Bray, to remove the mirror, prise of the plastic cover on the back, then there's two bolts holding the mirror to the wing. 10mm or 12mm socket, can't remember which.
