  • Rusty chrome bits

One of my back quarter chromy panels has started to rust. I know they are like rocking horse s**t to get hold of.
Has anyone painted their quarters? Did you do them black or the body colour?

Oh, ok, I thought I had read here that they were difficult to come by.
      My bad, thanks.

Anyone had a good result from painting them?

I have colour coded my entire rear bumper due to this. I warn you I didn't just paint it (the holes were too big).

First I took them to work and got them media blasted (more holes appeared). Then I filled the holes (OK some of the centre section and most of the sides) with fibreglass. Then I followed that up with body filler, four coats of paint and clear coat.

              I'm happy with the result.

              Gone from 4x4 to 1x2
