A while back, this picture appeared of many beer cans in the bed of a pick up... I beleive there was also a picture of a tree based Suzuki braking system.
it's all very relevant as it was conducted at an offroad meet, which is the catalyst for some members joining.

Count on the Monday morning was something like 120 cans that were left after going round the site and this was just sat & sun, Friday nights cans were put in bins.
Its what weekends meets are all about, food, beer, banter and oh yeah some off roading in between.

I was fortunate over the last two years to do two excellent off road meets. Earlier this year I went to drumclog...awesome place, but I thought the Scottish members might need paramedics in the morning.. The drunkards
o also went to Wales and drove the happy valley...
And didn't need to change my pants this time.

My brother-in-law was out and about looking at cars to buy here and sell in Eire, he's a farmer but it's a good side line for him.
I was in the market for another car as the then current stand was near the end of it's tax and test.

Anyway I was stuck in Liverpool that week and he called up saying he'd found a surf and thought I should get it.

I did a search on google to get an idea of what it looked like/reviews common problems etc found this site, and as I mentioned in my first post, found more answers than I had questions.
And some very kind people like mudskipper.(offering to let me ride shotgun before we'd even met)

Currently _still_ waiting on the service on my surf to be finished and then hopefully get dirty with everyone on the next outing.

I keep comming back because this forum is a very fun place, but even when it's not so friendly, it's compelling.

                    peace

to join a community that has expertise about the surf. To tap the knowledge when I'm not so sure. To pass on whatever help I can, through whatever way I can. Basically, I like to help, & if I ask for help, hoping that the reply won't be pedantic.

I joined cause I tried to get into all the better forums but they refused to authorise my account so ended up here cause you let me in....

then decided it wasn't too bad an idea to buy a surf as well...
