Its my truck to be sold for repair or breaking

To be fair - he hasnt done me - he was the first person to come in with an offer which was in my "acceptable range" yes it looks like if i had hung on longer i could have got more money but it was an acceptable offer and i accepted it, and i will stick by it.

yes he will make money on the parts, but that's no crime - i dont have the time, space or inclination to break the truck myself

If spares for the 3rd gen are so hard to come by perhaps the forum could "sponsor" one of the many mechanics on here to buy up breakers and sell off the parts at reasonable cost - it might even make the forum some money - just food for thought.
