In about 2 weeks time I am clearing out a garage and sheds form my old boss who has collected parts for 40 years . Included in this lot is a Ford Escort RS1800 Cosworth BDA engine which he has turbo charged . I can have all of it for free except the engine , damn . I got to sell the engine for him and give him the money . I think I will get £5 for it , sound fair ?

That is a very sorted Mk2....mmm minds me of my old 1600 sport lol

It was mint btw, I stole it from yoshie for much cheapness, worth around £10,000 nowadays, these pics are 20 years old, rare colour too, Terracota

He He, I even had some hair back then!

Jeez I loved that car! (not as much as my MK1 mind, that car was very special to me)

It's not been taxed for 13 years so it's either dead or sitting in a garage looking very nice.

I should never have sold that. The pic with the stripes fitted is the day we finished it's restoration.

That would pay for a nice truck these days.

I sold it to you 17years ago Alan so it's been off road not long after you sold it on. Hopefully it's under a dust sheet somewhere.

Hope so mate, too nice a car to be wrecked now.
Remember the old radio in it lost reception for radio 1 after a certain time at night, old am one it was, totally original.
Low miles too that car, only around 30,100 when we got it.

I went back down to Harrow where I used to live and collected the Cosworth BDA engine and a garage full of various spares yesterday. The engine is complete . It has been dry sumped and still has the scavage pump with it . Also a pair of Weber 45's . The exhaust will probaly go in the bin as the turbo fitting was not Neil's best work and would not help sell the engine.

Also picked up a Rover V8 inlet manifold with a pair of Weber 45's fitted inc all the pipes and linkages ready to fit which came of Neil's TR8 . Bet they sound good when running .
