    ... I know I know, but...

On the way back into work after lunch I saw coming towards me what looked like a red RS Turbo. However, as it got close I noticed it had a boot (an Orion no less!), and the vents in the bonnet were badly stuck on bits of Halfrauds tat.

What was worse though, was the boot spoiler! It stood off the boot by about 18" and had those ridiculous turned up ends that look like sharks fins! I laughed so hard I nearly crashed!

He turned down by a local school so I'm assuming he lives local. I will try my best to get a pic next time, for posting on barryboys.

I'm going to try and get a pic of a vectra I keep seeing in Eastbourne. It's a 1.8 estate with an exhaust pipe the diameter of a dinner plate (ish).
It's a prized posession of someone who belongs to the vectra owners club... Cos it says so on the back window.

Oh yes, the exhaust pipe is much to big and the rear bumper hasn't been cut out. It points downwards at about 45 degrees
and it's held on by bungies... It's awesome

Deeply sad indeed. I genuinely dont get it? Whats the point in spending hundreds possibly thousands on trying to fool people into thinking your driving a very fast car?
Thing is anybody who actually knows anything about cars can very easily tell if there looking at a sheep dressed in wolves cloths. Theres a guy living down the road who has a vw polo, picture it; massive spoiler(& i mean massive), side skirts, front spoiler, tinted windows, bucket seats the lot. Engine.....standard 1.4???????
Then again maybe he looks at me & wonders why im driving around in a 2 ton 4x4 with MT tyres.
Each to their own i suppose.

Everybody starts somewhere, these could be the Surf modders of the future. Might look crap and chavvy to us, but good on them I say, as long as its a youngster. Bit more worrying if its some middle aged guy, but these poor chaps cant afford to insure anything remotely sporty as some of us could when we were young, so theyre being creative. I hate the look, but Im sure their peers like it.
On a similar note, I saw a 2nd gen today with chrome trim round every window, door, light, mudguard. I didnt like it, but each to his own

                I agree with Bogus!!

I do hate most of them.. but at least they're doing something to make it 'their own'.

I've fitted an XJR grille to my measly XJ8.. an whilst i wouldn't wanna fool anyone into thinkin i've got a supercharger under the hood.. It looks so much better than the stock grille!!

An with abit a buyin' n' sellin' it cost me ... £0 which is a nice saving from the normal £100 they go for!

A fair point. Theres a lot of younger guys (18/19/20) over here driving around in massively powerful road weapons & incredibly their on their parents insurance. ie named driver.
Not sure where i stand on this. Is it wrong for so-called responsible adults to let their kids drive around in 200bhp+ road rockets? But at the same time its two fingers to the criminal insurance companys trying to screw more money out of people so im kind of in its favour. I dont know.

                    An now i have a Jaguar XJ8 with i think.. 240bhp.

I've always had my own insurance policys to make sure theres no complications with any claims that may arise!

Too true an if none of us tried something different then we would all be the same....boring. I know some are really bad in someones eyes, but everyone loves a tryer surely an that you have to appreciate, Beats the norm

I would much rather see a home made modded car an the owner so proud than your average ###### in a BMW or Audi thinkin money buys everythin.
