I think if I was Nigel, I'd offer to look the the truck in question at LA's expense. If it wasn't done by LA, the OP will probably back off and it wont cost LA a penny, if it was, it's good PR. Win-win!

for arguments sake I dont really see the relevance. Many people having this kind of work done won't know the difference between work that has been properly and not, they simply wouldn't know everything to look for. I certainly wouldn't be able to spot it all as I am a mechanical numpty and would presume (hope/wish etc.) that a professional company you are paying for a service that is their specialism would have doen the work correctly.
Thats not naivety- I'm the most cynical person in terms of checking all has been done as promised but in many cases the customer simply wouldnt be able to.

Again not supporting one side or the other, just that if a job was bodged I would not see a signed piece of paper stating someone is happy with the work would be worth anything.

Or the big orange monster truck that the owner had to wait well over the odds for.. only to come an collect it to find the work was frankly.. pi$$ poor!!

I feel sorry for L.A.S because if someone does go an have great work carried out.. If they come to somewhere like here an say "Hey guys!! I paid £1000 for a body lift to be supplied an fitted an its GREAT!!" They'd get a load of flack for paying more than the trucks worth! But if they come here an say "My trucks been destroyed by L.A.S" its all ears..

will thats a very good point,anything structual should of been checked by an mot especially body mounts and outriggers.so maybe the mot station is to blame for not picking the faults up.

So what, it costs alot. That their prices, either pay up or go buy it from someone else, simple. You have a choices use them.
As for shoddy work it always get blown out of proportion by the person making the claim in most cases.
Hell why not at the time chew the fat with the people that did the work, why leave it so long, if its that bad it would have fallen apart by now or as said been picked up by MOT people.
Love it when other people jump on the band wagon and start quoting like they know exactly whats happened, sheeeeez.
