looking at a v8 atm , would prefer a older mechanical one but What would you go for ?

In a perfect world I'd put a 3.0 D4D engine / box in there..

Reality is telling me to buy a 3.0 2nd gen...

with my height i would think twice about any pool that would flood the engine bay ...............untill the pool of water was infront of me

What do you mean? Somebody told me that certain petrol engines apparently blow up if there submerged in water, is that what your on about?

Petrol engines also have a high tension electric system to the spark plugs, water tends to short it out ans then your get up and go get's up and goes

in all seriousness why not get a yank 6.2 diesel or something the older ones run on a bench so I don't think they have an ecu.... then again I am no mechanic....
