vacuum regulator control valve??

    There's no Vacuum associated with the injection pumps.

    As for the original question, then the simple answer is, the valve controls vacuum. No idea what that has to do with a Surf though.

    No idea on the fuel pump one but the throttle/manifold just uses straight vacuum/no vacuum control of the butterflies for shutdown control.

    Depends on what it's fitted to, but basically it controls the amount of air/vacuum or even liquid flow for one component to another, using vacuum created by the engine.

    Remember vacuum advance on the distributors on older petrol engines?

    p.s. Yes there are Matt, One for the fuel pump and another to smooth out the engine shut down, if I remember.

    Which valve are you referring to, specifically? There are no 'regulator' valves on the Surf's, that I know of.
