Had two guys aroound Friday evening wanting me to sign up my Broadband line with them. At present with BT Business and to be honest, found them very good if i have had a problem. Talk Talk cheaper, but anyone got experience of Broadband with them.

i have talk talk broadband for the last 2 years with no problems .

Had some scrawny git from Talk Talk banging on my window at 8pm the other night as the door bell was switched off (so as not to disturb my kids at night)
when I answered the door asking 'who the F'ing hell are you to be banging my windows' he replied 'nothing to worry about sir,I'm from talk talk' to which I replied -I know I have nothing to worry about now go away-well something that meant the same anyway.What right do these clowns think they have to come banging on your door (or windows) to try and sell you something in your home any time of the day or night?

So did I.My house has an old dear in their 80's either side so perhaps they saw me as an easy target too (I thought a Landcruiser on the drive would make them realise I am not an easy target in my 80's though!)

Bin with TT over 5 years now n no probs so far ...

There's always a Payback....Don't know where n ya never know when tho !!!!

There are two providers of Broadband in the UK, BT and Virgin.

BT use ADSL, which uses your phone line, Talk Talk, Orange and all etc use the BT system and pay BT for the privilege leasing equipment/space in BT exchanges.
Virgin are stand alone (fiber optic)

Talk Talk etc are cheaper than BT but you get less of a customer service and if it goes wrong their not great.

Also as Talk Talk are down the pecking order in BT list of providers their service may be slightly slower than BT or other providers.
