  • It is just as well I didn’t book an MOT for next week

The MOT is up on the V6 next weekend (24 Oct) and the truck needs jet washing as it is still muddy.... I went to the facture clinic yesterday to see about my collar bone (broke it 20 Sep) and they reckon it needs at least another 2 weeks or so before I can drive again. I pointed out that I have a big 4x4 with power steering & auto box and the only work my right arm would have to do is operate the indicators.... but the Doctor said no, not until I have full movement again. TBH the Doctor is right, I’m still in pain and have limited movement with my right arm. If I were to have an accident the insurance would not pay out.

Looks as though it will be mid November before I can organise an MOT.... if it fails I’ll list the faults and see if anyone wants it cheap for parts.

I’m getting fed up now of not being able to drive.

Can't even think about going to look at Landcruisers untill I'm fit again
Mine WAS a 150 bhp V6 and ran on PETROL

The “Plan” is to put it in for a MOT next month as soon as I’m fit enough and if it passes great! It flew through the test last year and has only done about 3000 km since.

If it fails on something simple I will get it fixed, if not I’ll offer it for sale as spares or repair (would be good for a V8 Lexus conversion). Or I might strip out the recaro seats, rear load cover, rear spoiler, front bull bar, 4 good and 1 brand new General Grabbers AT2s etc. and scrap the rest. Body work and chassis is good... but the engine has a slight problem.....

and I feel it is time for a change... to a LandCruiser

And this feels like a thinly, very thinly veiled for sale add.

Knowing my luck it will be a “Free to a good home, can anybody make use of” add
