First impressions it looks good. techie or not its good

2 things stand out though for me.

The font for the Location etc boxes doesn't quite fit, an personally I wouldn't state hours as it give the impression that your charges will go up dramitically out of them (which I know they do but it kinda limits it and drws your attention to it).

Hey Tintin, looks very good, the only thing i would suggest is to make the company name in the center of the page, and the phone no's on the contact us page, or at the sides, apart from that, well done,

I agree, but expanding a little on what greecysurf said about the company name. Ideally a nice company or corporate logo would fit in their spot on, that is if you have one?

Talking of hosting, just a suggestion. At the moment im swaping over my co-located dedicated server from one data centre, but when i get it back up and running i would quite happliy host it for you for free, not being funny or anything but it won't take up many server resources up at all, unlikey others. But it will be free of ads and crap, and will also load a considerable amount faster, i can also help with any problems or issues ( i will deal with the technical side) if that's what you can call it lol I can also improve your SEO and google rankings

Anyways give me a shout if your intrested won't be for a little while yet, sooo busy atm - you know how it is...

Other than that, carn't complain for something that's free....

1) Use a slightly larger font in the info boxes on the left hand side.

2) Ditch the Flash so that it doesn't look completely different when javascript is disabled.

Looks good, couple of suggestions:

The tel numbers are on a darker background and I missed them on first look. On clicking 'contact us' it seems that the only means of contact you have is a form to fill in I would include the phone number as the main method of communication on the contact page.

Its great to have pics but if you have before and afters it would give more of an impression of what you did. Perhaps with a bit of an explanation beneath the pic- it would be good to slant this description towards the putcomes the customer wanted i.e. 'Mr and Mrs Shanks bathroom had been dark, outdated and they didnt like using it. The asked us if we could make the room lighter, seem larger and be a pleasure to use. We at AMC worked with them to acheive this.

First impressions and all that......the photo on the front page in the centre of the home page needs removing for a crisp sharp inspiring one as apposed to and odd angle gloomy shot of ? tiles. (looks like somone staggered throught the door ####ed taking a photo!)

Your tabs are good but then the titles in the main frame are up and down with the purple back ground that is at a different height on each page. As an example look at the team page..the words "the team are half on and off the frame..

Your Tab says "about us" ..your wors say "sole Trader" the tab says "Team" but is Blank? confused as your front page says there are lots of you..

You also change title colours and fonts almost on each page....you would not do that when tiling doing your bathroom so why do it on your web site...less is more and all that

On the reference page however it looks like you wrote it so this is where I would change font and colour and size to apear that it was copied straight from "MR X" .....

My opinion:

you drink to much and you drive like an old lady...
the website, on the other hand seems ok, but ditch the hours thing and put your phone number on it... Apart from those VERY minor things it looks ace mate.

I hadn't realised the titles “Location / hours / products and services” were links. Now I do know, I can't seem to do anything about it!!!!! They wont link to anything and I cant seem to alter them!
( i'll figure that one out one day)

I've changed the phone numbers colour to make them more prominent, tried the co name in the centre and didn't like it! (maybe when I come up with a decent logo it'll look better)

Have altered font size as suggested, could you expand on item 2, as I dont know what parts are flash and what aren't . (it's mostly done on basic templates with me altering things to suit!)

As for your photo suggestion, the system doesn't have the facility for that, but when I build a proper site I will go with that!

Have tidied up the titles, but cant see where you're referring to “purple back ground”
I see no purple at all (are you using Internet explorer, or am I just not understanding where you mean)
Have ditched “the team”, basically didn't realise there was a drop down menu on the tab.

as an example the Front page "home" these are all different and on one page. If they where all the same font and colour it would look more ? crisp/proffesional

I am not taking the Pi55 but small changes and tweaks make a much better look...continutiy of colour and font all the way through

i don't think that can be helped, it uses CCS coding, which because it being free won't allow you to edit, you can also see this sort of stuff using different browsers

I see where you're coming from now on the font/background issue,
BUT......
1 Cant change font or colour of Location/Hours/products headings
(they are part of the template i presume)
2 Grey background behind phone numbers is also a part of the template
3 Cant change colour or font on tabs

4 I still see no purple....just grey tabs (which turn white) with red writing on!!!!
