Blackpool !!!!!

Hi all
coming up to Blackpool on the 23rd for long weekend as Anita said she never been and would like to see the Lights. So booked a nice little hotel for great price. NOW
is there any gigs shows or something we can see on the 23, 24 or 25th in the evening either in blackpool or nearby???
and can you recommend any nice places to eat out too

Which hotel have you booked into?
I only ask because there are loads around here (around 1800 to be exact), most of them you wouldn't let your dog stay at.
I rewire and install F/A systems at hotels on a regular basis and can tell you which are some of the top guesthouses, B&Bs as i know alot of hoteliers.

Holmsdale Hotel in Pleasant street looks good on the website and £30 a nite B&B very resonable too if not to a standard they will have upset pops to deal with

Dont know the hotel itself, but the area is a bit dodgy
Didnt even know there were any hotels in that part of Blackpool.
So you'll be miles from anything else, relatively speaking.
I might be doing the hotel a disservice, but I know the area, and you'll be fine if you're after scoring some gear.

But then again, Ive just read some reviews, and they weren't too bad. It may be a diamond in the rough. Its the area that concerns me.

If you like I can put you in touch with some more central hotels at around the same price, and ones I know personally (and no I,m not an agent. LOL)

according to there website the hotel is half mile past tower (recommended by a good friend) and only half mile from the Buzz of the town will be quieter at night there i figure. only intend to use hotel to sleep and have breakfast in anyway

as for food we both love chinese and been recommended Michael wan's cantonese restaurant in Clifton street any good ?? or know a BETTER 1 please.

however as it was recommended, then it's probably fine.
You'll definitely win on the parking.
Central hotels are murder for parking

Never been to Micheal Wans as I tend to dine outside the centre of Blackpool (too many holidaymakers), but as its been there for so long and at such a prominent location its probably great.

Have a great time and if theres anything you need before or whilst youre here, dont hesitate to ask...

if you fancy a chinese then 3 miles ish out of blackpool, Poulton -le- fylde ...China red top palce and if fancy a drink whilst your there theres loads of pubs whithout all the usual hen nights stag night and the idiots who just want too fight

as for hotels don't know.......theres a travel inn just as you come of the m55.

Poulton is about £10-£12 in a taxi from town
no hotels in Poulton any more either
