I'm after a Ford Galaxy diesel around 2000 / 2001 reg as my wifes old Galaxy has seen better days. After trawling Ebay for months I thought I'd buy a copy of the Autotrader.

What a shock! Last time I bought one was about 3 years ago, I think it was about £1.40, now it's £2.20. The cost of a single ad for a week used to be £20, now it's £40.

It used to cover just the North East, from Berwick to Darlington maybe, now it's from the Borders to Sheffield and it's only half as thick as it used to be!

Back to Ebay I think.

Troll the internet, try Preloved and pistonheads as well as eblag. You can get Autotrader and Exchange&Mart online as well. There,s loads of sites for car sales. I think I looked at most of them when I was hunting for a Surf.

Yes I have been on the Autotrader website, but back in the day when I actually bought the magazine on a regular basis not all the cars were listed on the website, I have since learned that this is now not the case.

Lauras Galaxy is 'N' reg and although it has only 86,000 verified miles it is now showing it's age. It is also a petrol model and she would like a diesel.

Please excuse the typing as I am as p!ssed as a f@rt after an expensive night out with the wife and two daughters!
