  • What thread size?

Does any1 know the thread size on the shaft for the fuel pump? We had to use the gas to heat the pulley to get it off today as none of us had never seen one stuck on so tight and the puller has also squashed the last couple of threads as it also got a little warm. Many thanks guys.

well i wanted to file the bad thread down so the "bolt" had a tapered end but my neighbor who is really into his old classic car restoration didn't like that idea and wanted to pull the thread as he described it.

what you doing .....the side seals or replacing ....if replacing it should not matter if the dammage is that bad i would replace the unit with one from stormy or supersurf..........if you are getting it refurbished by a diesel specialist (like diesel bob ) they should have the equipment to sort it

Pretty sure it's M14 X 1.5. Measure the shaft. It should be close to 14mm. Count the number of threads over a distance of 15mm. If 1.5 pitch there will be 10 threads.
