    hi John

bit of a long story but I was wanting a look over the intercooled version as I was convinced that mine (non intercooled) was well down on power. I've driven a couple of other non intercooled ones and although they were nippier than mine, I put that down to the fact I have bigger than standard tyres. it was getting to me that much I was even thinking of going over to the dark side and getting a 4.6 HSE range rover, lpg converted.

Anyhoo, whilst changing the fuel filter a few weeks ago, I noticed the rubber hose to the filter thingy on the "turbo pressure sensor" was broken off. I did a bit of digging and, apparently if this little black pipe is split or removed then the sensor thinks the engine is at low pressure and the turbo doesn't come in.
I stuck the pipe back on with a bit of superglue and, while in there, also blocked off the egr valve (ball bearing) and - - - BLIMEY, she flies now.

Now a very happy boy and lovin' driving again, even towing the caravan last weekend, I had to be careful to keep it all under the motorway speed limit
