i drove a 2nd gen 2.4td auto todayat least i think it was a 2nd gen, a bit scruffy looking and dirty, but still well mannered on the road. i couldnt help thinking though that take off was sluggish and it seemed underpowered.the turbo whistled like a canary, and you had to rev it some to make it move, i have read this on here in various threads and read the turbo plate fix etc anyone heard of this dude for power upgrades, if so any feedback please. www.dieselbob.co.uk 01254878790 during office hours please.

to be honest the 2.4 is under powered if you have not already got a surf go for a 3L it is far better!! you can make all the upgrades you want but the 3L will still be a better performing engine

I've got a 2.4 and it was like that, still is sometimes, done loads of stuff to make it half decent, like he said if you aint got one yet get a 3lt

you saying that Gra.When i collected your old 2.4 and i drove it home it only took a tank full of fuel and that did 300miles and that truck was on 33's.
