hi within a 15min drive, know the area quite well, somewhere off the 192 would be ideal, seen a nice 4 bed @ £490 per week.

Here's two places that friends/relatives have used in the past and have been very happy with. They have gotten really nice homes at great rates.

this one my cousin uses when she comes down for a few months. She has never had a problem with them and has always gotten great rates and nice homes.

It's kinda hard to pinpoint prices for next July, but at least he can get an idea of what is available and out there. I don't know if your friend is wanting to book now or when the time gets closer. Prices on rentals can fluctuate tremendously, depending on time of year and what's going on with the market.
But at least these are two he can start with. I'll keep looking further and talk to a few more people.
