.....and i'm going again next year the show that was put on was first class. apparently its because of the amount of airspace availible. because this is alarge area at southport the typhoon was able to put on 'the full airshow display', and bu66er, is it loud watchin the tail slide through some of those tight turns is unreal, and it went from 100' off the ground to 12 000' verticaly in a matter of a few seconds. never mind that drivel richard hammond put on topgear, its much.much faster!!!!
the best actual aerobatic display was by 'the blades', all ex red arrows pilots in prop driven stunt planes. the vulcan was sublime, very graceful and fookin massive .

Never yet seen a Vulcan, would love to see one one day, sounds like you had a great day.

Used to see Vulcans doing practice diversions at Llanbedr a few years before I worked there. One of the most stirring sights ever is a Vulcan climbing out at max rate with the engines at full chat.

Mind you, we got the occasional Lightning too, when I'd just started there. If you want to talk about climb rate, forget your Typhoon - try 50'000ft per minute for size!

I love airshows,
Years ago when I worked at Heathrow, I used to smoke a large one and lay on the roof of the BA inflight catering building and let Concorde take off just over my head, 'xellent.
