amber leds

ok after a little help,ive bought a windscreen visor(not bothered who doesnt like it )anyways i want to put 4,maybe 5 amber leds in it,bit i want proper fittings that i can back out thru front so to speak for bulb repacement etc as it will be perm fixed to the roof,but no wider than around 11/12mm,ive hunted everywhere but nothing,can anyone help?

If you're gonna be fitting LEDs then you won't need to replace them, they'll out live your truck.

Anyhoo, I have loads of 5mm diameter, super bright LEDs c/w resistors for 12v that you can have, they're colourless when off.

Any good? PM your address and I'll post them in the morning.

ooops forgot yr bithday thread,hope yr havin a good one,as for leds i can see your point,if i paid you could you prewire them,im really cack with small wiring?

No worries, I'll link 5 of them together (about 8" apart?) and you can just connect up the +12v and earth?

that would be perfect,do they have any sort of surround on them?and how much mate?

No holders with them, I just drill a 5mm hole and they fit in quite snug.

Obviously they are going on the leading edge of the visor, but can you get at the rear of it to push the LEDs through the holes?

you can get the Bevels from ebay i think they are little chrome holders

Got some chrome bezels for 5mm if ya want a few! also last time i looked i was unable to get amber, had to get yellow,

LEDs on their way to you Andy, ready to hook up to 12volts. Excuse the bits of insulating tape, I have no heat shrink left.
If they're not what you want, just bin them or use them for mood lighting inside the truck.

I'll stick 6 in the post if thats ok, how many markers are you fitting?,

i used the 10mm one with bezels but it sounds like you dont have the widht on the visor for them

just measured matey,i over estimated a bit,i can fit upto 25 mm in there,so 10mm if thats ok,wot i owe u?
