help with valuation please.............

...........afternoon fella's, if i procede and buy the surf i am interested in, it comes with another free truck that needs a bottom end and a head. apart from that its complete.as of yesterday it was still on the road driving. taxed and tested. a 2.4 diesel auto, around 93/94 with less than 100 000 kms on it, could be in the 80's.
can anyone stick a rough value on it and would anyone be interested in buying it? i have no where to store or work on it. i had considered putting an engine in, but thats not cost effective as i would have to pay.

i figured if i could get £350/400 i would be more than happy. the gearbox must be worth that.

I would need to see some pics of it first to see what condition its in etc.With the engine totaly gone then i would £300 max as there could be other problems the garage don't know about.
I sell a gearbox for £75 plus delivery so if there isn't much else on it worth selling then i doubt a breaker would actually pay £300.This is my view on the value on it going by 2 years of breaking surfs but someone may come up with a higher value.

yes it was, it was nocking its nuts off apparently but still running. taxed and mot'd still too.
the head is coming off it to go on another truck, the one i hope to be buying.
i was considering an engine off stormforce, but its not economically viable to buy the engine, and pay for someone to fit it. it must go if i buy it as i have nowhere to keep it for spares.
i was shocked at the £75 valuation of an auto box though, thought it would have been around£3/400.
i will source some pictures if i plan to go ahead, but will have to email them to someone i think, bit of a pc numpty

so to summerise, would someoneinterested in buying the truck?

Not sure yet. Once I get the head off I'll have a better idea. Off to Portugal on Saturday, will mull it over.
