It's my home made exhaust system. It sounds like that because I have four more cylinders, one hundred more brake horsepower and one hundred more cubic centimeters than your truck.

No I didn't crash, just skidded to a stop before reversing back to get the camera.

aww yes the V8! i forgot lol

Bushy while your on mate.. will this fir on the surf or do i need a larger diamiter pipe?

                http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Cherr...Q5fAccessories

dont let the price or the tacky ebay site put you off. they sound awsome. and they sound better than the flowmasters

EDIT: the pipes on the surf are 2.25" so i assume that the new bit has to be the same.

No idea, I don't know what diametre the exhaust is on the 3.0.
If you want yours to sound like the exhaust in the first post of this thread, remove that huge centre silencer and fit a straight through version, with the tailpipe exiting just in front or behind the rear wheel.

This is where I get my exhaust parts from....

                      good website. cheers mate.
when it comes to fitting those bits for a custom exhaust, is it all bolt on connections? or is there any welding involved?
might give it a go myself if it all bolts together with flanges etc??
and the diamiter on my surf is 2.25". the same as in that link i showed you.

All the bends and straight lengths come with swaged ends so they can just be push fit together and clamped or welded if you prefer.
Click on the photos of the components and it gives you the dimensions.

so i can fit an exhaust from the manifold back to the muffler and then from the muffler to my powerflow back box.....without welding!!??

im thinking a 10" pipe? haha im kiding! lol

about 20mpg normally and 24-26 when doing long distance towing the caravan...

about 12 when I really boot it....

I did a whole day's off-roading the other week she ran 12.5 hours straight, I did about 240 miles and I only put about £60-ish in.....

So all in all not bad at all if you ask me....
Probably better than the old 2.4 hahaha

Can't beat a petrol V8 on sound though... lol
