2 accidents in 30 years thats not bad but then andy us lot down here can drive on narrow roads

I got mine off fleabay, along with a screen, cameras are not that dear, screens can be got cheap too.

Fleabay... some have IR (infra red) leds that light up the scene at night but at a guess.. £10-£20 for the camera... the display on the dash the price can vary greatly

Aye Will's! got mine from ebay, very cheap but that was just for the camera, already had my ho-chi-min telly they do the full kits on there too tho,

EDIT: here is another one. quite good but a bit pricey. im sure there are cheaper versions....im still looking!

I bought one, put it on and I don't use it. If you can't reverse then a camera won't help you.
I then tried it underneath as a sort of 'rock cam' but that was useless as well.
It's in the garage now waiting a new use.
Gimmiky if you ask me.

reversing the surf is easy enough. its just the spare wheel on the back that gets in the way.
ive owned my surf for about 15 months now and it was only last week that i had actually reversed into another parked car.
was just a shame the taxi driver was still in the car! lol..........was even more of a shame when he tried the old "ooh you dented my car" routine when clearly there was NO damage to anything and thus me telling him to please leave and not talk to me....................at the top of my voice and eyes poping out my head!
