Angus young IMO the worlds best lead guitarist bar none named the band AC/DC while watching his sister working on her sewing machine he saw the symbol AC/DC on the machine,thats where the name came from.

Ah well maybe I'm wrong on this one I did get the info out of there A to Z biography.
Ok I'm fairly sure it was his sisters idea for him to keep his school clothes on will playing in the band.
