  • HELP - Speedo Dead!

As I said I need some help. I got in the truck last night and my speedo was dead. NO life at all. No needle movement, no recording of mileage (kilometreage) and no trip reading either. Any ideas guys where I should start? And this morning, to add insult to injury, my "O/D OFF" light is flashing slowly.

    All help gtatefully received

Check the speed sensor switch on the transmission - have you done anything in the dashboard region last night? Changed dial, facia, reset T-Belt light?

It may be that the sensor (there's more than one) has perished, have a quick search on here for speed sensor to see if you can find it and give the wires coming off it a wiggle....

        Hi Guys

Many thanks for the help. I haven't sorted the problem but having been pointed in the right direction on what to search for I now know that it's likely to be a the speed sensor. More inportantly I now know where to find it! Looks like I'll be spending some time over the weekend under the truck......
