lights up etc but no output
(may still have some, dunno, let me know if you want some and i'll have a look) just made a plastic/styreen sheet to hold the leds, poke em through holes i made in the sheet and solder all the neg tails together with some stripped tinned copper wire to help join em, resistor on each pos and join them like the negs, mine was a bit fiddley as i wanted different colours, (the led panel in the pic was for the roof interior light, all of them are wired together via the door switches and come on when the door is opened, also can be switched either off altogether or on with the doors shut, run em through a low rate fuse (3amp i think) the fronts are just screwed to the quater trim and the rears drilled and screwed to the metal (throught the carpet) below the rear seats, some rubber insulation fitted to the back to protect the solder work, about it mate, bey these light holders originly come with a a single bulb holder and the rear bit is quite deep so i did'nt use them, instead i cut come squares of hard wood and cut the centers out (sort of spacers) and fitter the glass and metal fronts through these, bit of satin black and thats it
) when i did em i used some styreen sheet plastic, you can get it in verious thicknesses from any model shop and it's fairly cheap, but you can use anything really as long as it does not conduct electricity or it'll short out the leds, once i'd cut the plastic card to size i drew lines on it where the leds were to be fixed, then drilled (with a minicraft modeling drill, or ya can use a hand pin-vise) holes about 1mm drill either side of the lines so the tails of the leds fit through without bending em, once through you just bend the tails over and they hold themselves in, alternativly a spot of cyno glue will do it, then just bend the negitive tails (shorter of the two) to join each other and solder or join em with a bit of wire bared and tinned, i know there are several ways to wire leds such as "in series" or "paralell" but i useually just solder a resistor to each led, just find it easier for me, also if you were to wire several via one resistor and they are different colours you find one colour will not light, forget which ones, i might have some links to led wireing but anyway goodwill saled always send a product booklet with your pruchace and it does cover some wireing at the back,
