got new 3rd gen...but

hi, got my 3rd gen today, very pleased with it so far...but have some switch questions
the "idle up" switch next to fog lamp switch... obviosly it hires the tickover but why?

"PWR..ect...NORM" switch next to hand brake, hav'nt got a clue.

Red button near gear shift....?????

and I know this probably sounds daft but should I have the "overdrive" on most of the time, there is a light in dash to tell you its off but not to tell you its on !!!

any help please!!!

Overdrive can be turned off around town, switch on again on the open road.
