Buying a Surf ...Which one?..

Hi All. I am currently in the market for a new caravan puller and was looking at the Surf. Having read what I can find, the 3.0 is the one to go for.

Are there any variants that I might need to look for?. The caravan it will be pulling is 1500kg so I don't want to be struggling.

Finally what do I need to be paying for a 95/96 model?.
