  • Urgent help re: battery vent pipe connector !! !

    Hi,

I've fitted a leisure battery in the rear load space (bolted down in its own box) and need to vent it to outside the truck. No prob except the battery has a long slim fitting and I can't find an adapter to fit a normal piece of tubing. I found mention of adapters on line but can't find anyone selling them.

Problem is I only have a week to get one - am off on holiday next weekend so need it quickly.

Anyone have one or know where I can get one ?

    Thanks,

    Rob.

I'd push a bit of normal tubing in there and just fill the gap round it with something like arboseal/tigerseal

Get a cable grommet with strain relief and use that over the hose and connector. Either that or heat shrink.

          Thanks for the quick replies.

The big problem is the lack of clearance underneath the connecter. Heat shrink would fit but I don't think normal car hose would. I'm going to have a look in my spares box as I should have a few grommet things to try. Also going to try and heat up aquarium tubing and stretch it with some needle nose pliers...

          Cheers,

          Rob.
