Do you want me to get a fuel tank off this week and weigh up to see how much it'll cost to send.
I know a 16kg rad cost virtually £40 to send to Italy so at a guess i would say you'll probably be looking at about £40 - £60 to send Plus the tank which i would sell for £20.I will see what i can do this week for you.
PM your full addy and tel number so i can put it all in for the quote and i'll get back to you asap

      1) I didn't miss your point.

      2) It doesn't grab attention. A descriptive thread title works perfectly well without adding symbols for the sake of it.

      3) Someone knowing the answer gets the question answered. Adding a question mark in the title does not.

            Uh O, now, um,

Why do I feel I can't type a correct answer here?

Which one of you will type the loudest?

I have no idea what you're referring to.

to the OP........you have a 1st gen so im assuming its the same. they are almost identical to the hilux pick up mechanically. all they mainly did was stick a fiber glass bubble on the back.
im sure the filler pipe may be different yes but im sure that can be adjusted to fit.
                just my 2p's worth.
if im wrong you can always send it back and just pretend this convo never happened!

EDIT: or give Toyota a call!?

i did say if i was wrong then pretend this convo never happened!

i was just going by an artile i read about how similar the 1st gen and the pick ups were. it said they were vertually mechanically indentical so i just assumed.

the first gen the filler is moved forward on the pick up it's over the rear wheelarchso the necks are different , they are very close to eachother but there are some annoying differences

With it being a fuel tank you might find that it's difficult to persuade a courier to take it as a standard item.

From experience (sending drugs to Israel in a R&D job I used to have) anything that could remotely constitute hazardous material going through customs has to be packed by a licenced individual.

                        http://www.shepublic.stfc.ac.uk/Code...Transport.aspx

There are couriers/freight companies who specialise in this sort of thing but they aren't cheap. I seem to recall it cost a few hundred quid to send what was largely a box of water!

It took me nearly 2 ###### weeks to sort out sending a 2 cubic foot box of steroid asthma/COPD treatment for analysis by the parent company in Israel (although that was mainly down to the fact that the company I worked for were incompetent and had let their packaging licences expire).

Hope I'm not trying to teach granny to suck eggs here - just flagging it up given the nightmare I had with sending stuff abroad.

hey mattf so your saying a thread without a ? icon is less likely to get an answer? Thats silly. IN MY OPINION i notice the little icons first when im scrolling through the threads.
My advice to greecysurf was well meant & not intended to attract pointless/sarcastic remarks.
