Reverse

unless I am very gentle always seem to get a bit of crunching when sellecting reverse, been the same the last couple of years and not necessarily getting worse.

Is there any adjustment to be had or is it a syncro in the gear box or something major that I can live with?

Uk 4 runner 3.0l manual with stacks of main dealer service history and done about 150k.


PS another 12 months MOT, straight through, no advisories, what great trucks!!

The problem is the syncro for reverse. Can't be fixed because there ain't one. Just stop completely before selecting reverse and don't try to select to quickly after clutch is pressed, because the gears are still spinning.

Yes basically thats what I have to do for it to be smooth. Sounds like nothing to worry about then and relatively normal.
