  • Disconnecting EGR??

Is this considered a good idea on a 3.0 94'

  • #2
The general concensus on these forums seems to be that it is a good idea on any vehicle.

I'm still fairly new to surfs and egr systems and am not familiar with where it all is under the bonnet, just thought a pointer would help me.

here's some picies of how to do it with a 6mm ball bearing or similar sized plug!

                      1) locate EGR valve - next to fuel filter
2 pull off hose exiting top right
                      3) insert ball bearing (plastic BB shot in my case) into open end of hose and push all way in
4 replace hose over EGR valve pipe - just to keep things tidy and secured out of the way.

(and yes - I do have lovely hands for a 16 stone hairy ar$ed fitter!!)

Did it today can't believe how much difference it made, Took the pipe off and shoved a cut down M5 coach bolt in the pipe and cable tied it up.
