my timing belt warning light lit up last week, obviously it was because i had just passed 100000k, i had already renewed all my belts and filters before the car went on to the road, and i have found out how to reset it through the rubber gromit in the dash crystal, but i tell you i can live without lights coming on when i'm half way passed a juggernaught on the m6, with a full car and a caravan on tow as well, any one approaching one hundred k be warned.

you done the right thing changing the timing belt anyway, even if its not done the 100,000km is probably ready by its age, you can never be to careful

As a precaution you should always change the t-belt. Any time I change my car or 4x4 I change the belt. Usually not too dear, and it's worth it for the peace of mind.
